Visuals

Project Overview
This exercise applies learned design principles (from lectures & reading assignments) of type and image compositions to visually express and convey meaning/message in a practical visual communication design application–Poster Design. Develop one or two distinct narratives based on the WINTER Pattern sketchbooks from your project 1 (type-graphic and photo-graphic). Then identify a visual theme for each of the two posters’ concepts and explore multiple design studies for class discussions and reviews.
Process
Continuing with our semester's theme of "winter pattern", I created two posters surrounding the theme of winter color. One focuses on image, while the other focuses on type.
This process was fairly simple. We were first tasked with designing six posters and from from there we shared with classmates and our professors and discussed to see which two posters should be further developed.
Below are my first six poster designs focusing on winter color and early ideations to my final poster designs.

Reflection
I learned a lot about the poster of small changes and iterations during this project. I feel as if I found the "base" of my design fairly early during the project, because of that I felt like the refining process dragged out forever. At times I was frustrated because I was geting stuck on refunding my designs; however, like every project, I kept pushing. I am happy I kept refining from my first round of posters, my final poster designs are defiantly more developed and polished than my early designs.
